David L Barber Welcomes YOU
8-)
Hi there! thank you for visiting my home page, although this is currently
being done as part of my coursework, I hope to build on it over time and
make it worth your while to visit me.
The coursework is part of my University
studies. The course I am following is the part-time MSc in Computing and
Information Systems.
Personal Information
Background - I was born in Malaysia
and spent 17 years of my life there. It is a great place to visit, it has
managed to mix the cultures of the East and West and produce something
that is unique. Although pollution or "Haze" (as it is called by the locals)
is presently causing a bit of grief you can check the situation by reading
the The Star Newspaper.
Home is Maidstone in Kent
in the United Kingdom. I love it here, its the Garden of England and we
have had a glorious summer as well. Everything is within easy reach the
countryside, the coast, airport, you name it !!. .
Employment - Employment, takes me to London and consequently
I do about 500 miles a week in my Nissan
Almera. My job function is that of an Electrical/Electronic Technician
on a shift system (say no more). I work for a company
that prints nearly all the major British Newspaper titles, for example
The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian,
The Financial Times, the tabloid titles are The Express, The Daily Star
and The Sport to name but a few.
Family - I am a family man with a wonderful set of twins,
James and Davina who celebrated their 12th Birthday recently.
My Loves
My Loves - Travel and Computers (one of the reasons I 'm doing the
MSc course). I have always loved travelling. Airport delays and jet lags
have never troubled me. Countries, cultures and people I have experienced
are to numerous to list, but every minute has been a pleasure.
My love for Computers started with machine code and here we are today
with the proverbial all singing and dancing computers - and its only going
to get better.
